MagHub 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub Ultra-Slim Data USB-A Hub with 2ft Cable

I needed to expand on the 2 USB ports on my laptop and this hub was just right for the job. I have used hubs that become too saturated and slow once you plug in too many items. Not with this one. Connected to this hub are 2 receivers for the keyboard and mouse all the time and an external hard drive some of the time. The hub handles the hard drive just fine, providing quick write and read speeds.

Sure, laptops these days give you 2 or 3 (if you're lucky) USB A ports to use standard accessories with, and this no-frills USB 3.0 hub from INVZI will do great for those situations. I recently took it on a trip and it proved great for that (to plug in flash drives, phones and cameras). The other situation where this is going to come in handy is with desktops that just have too many things attached. These days, especially if you do any kind of remote work for school, you have cameras, printers, flash drives, keyboards and mice, at the bare minimum. I basically ran out of USB ports in the back (and because of the way my desk is, the front USB ports aren't as readily available as they were designed to be). This hub allowed me to plug my keyboard, lighted mousepad, a flash drive (at better than USB 2.0 speeds) and a label printer, all into one USB 3.0 port. If you've run out of ports and want a small, inexpensive expansion option, this one is absolutely one to consider.

Just what I needed, my gaming laptop does NOT have enough ports for all that I use ?? Works perfectly!

It does work well, haven't have a problem with the USBs

I bought it with the intention of playing four wired controllers on an XB1 Series X, and while it does do that, through trial and error I realized that it is best to not leave the controllers plugged into the hub between boots -- meaning, after you're done playing, disconnect all the controllers from the hub, and the hub from the machine. When needing to play with 4 controllers again, boot and once at the home screen, then replug the hub, then replug each controller. I am not entirely certain this necessity is due to the hub itself, or with XB1's trouble registering each one, or with the individual off-brand controllers having trouble. It does work, though!

I purchased this so I could connect two external hard disk drives (HDDs) to my laptop and only use one USB port. It does that job just fine. Many other similar adapters do not specifically specify HDD use.

On Windows, I did have to change the drive letters, though. The drives moved from D and E to G and H upon initial connection. All my scripts depend on them being D and E. I only had to make this change once, however.

The two foot cord is longer than I need. However it makes this adapter a bit more future proof. Glad I got this one.

Having used my 2 available usb ports for a keyboard and back up disk this device opened up a world for memory stacks, etc. plugged it in and it worked - so easy

It's light weight and discreet. I like the longer cord. I dont use bluetooth because of the extra EMF so this is super useful.

It is a port extender and appears to do its job pretty well to date.

Product is exactly as advertised, works well and has some length for the cable, the material is quite light and sometimes the sturdiness is missed, however for the price is a great product.

Works okay. The port on the end of the unit didnt carry a 2.0 signal to a computer but the other three ports worked fine. Okay for the price.

Thought the shell was aluminum. But plastic is still OK.

I use it as a USB power separator, not for data transfer purpose. Didn't test for data transfer.

I recently got a lamp with a usb charging outlet on it. I was surprised how useful it was to have next to my bed and found more things to plug in, but there was only one port available. I needed a hub and started looking for one . . . I was surprised at how hard they were to find given that more and more items are usb charging or powered now.
This had a great price compared to others so I decided to give it a try. It comes nicely packaged and worked right out of the box. I am able to run 4 items at a time (charge a battery pack, diffuser, phone uv sterilizer and mini light) without any issues off this one hub. It has a cord that is the perfect length for me . . . enough to reach where I need it to without getting tangled. I had an older one that was much more expensive, and this one is much more dependable than that one ever was . . .
